Recommended error-handling routine if no error occurs
Part 2
test has weird cyan stripes
Description of the Case: Over 90% of pictures were covered by weird stripes during Exposure Position Adjustment test print.
It rarely (10%) occurred on normal prints.
Source of the issue:
Laser Control PCB J390710-02.
Remedy action: Repair or replace.
Resume: Laser repair is not required.
tests have a fogged side
Reported by the owner of Noritsu QSS37.
He had such an issue with all prints.
Remedy:
He was advised to check the position of the bracket and after the correction of it, all came in normal condition.
The bracket is shown by the red arrow.

Model: QSS3211
The feature of abnormal print:
No errors. Not possible to have gray fields. Instead of gray only red, blue, and yellow areas.
Some letters were missing.
Probable Cause: Faulty PCB.
Remedy actions:
Define the defective PCB and replace it.
All tests had weird red and blue areas and there was an absence of red.
After replacing the Image Control PCB the problem was solved.

Probable Cause 1: Laser beam misalignment.
Probable Cause 2: Faulty AOM driver (blue channel).
Probable Cause 3: Faulty laser module (blue)
1. Laser beam misalignment.
Use service FD. Download it here.
Press F and -1 on the keyboard.
If the system will ask for a password input 2260 and go there:
2260 [ch8594] ->Extension [ch8594]-> Maintenance [ch8594]
-> Various Adjustment [ch8594] -> Printer Mechanical Adjustment [ch8594] Exposure Position Adjustment
And align the beams.
Resume:
Laser Repair is not required.
2. Faulty AOM driver (blue channel).
Swap AOM driver of the blue channel with AOM driver of the green channel and make a test print.
Replace a defective AOM driver if you will see that the blur changed the color.
Buy new AOM driver with a Standby Mode to forget about any issues with AOM drivers.
You can do it here.
Resume:
Laser Repair is not required.
3. Faulty laser module (blue)
If the alignment procedures and replacement of AOM driver did not help to solve the problem – we recommend to call out a service engineer or send the laser unit to us for repair.
Contact us please for the consulting.

Model: QSS30-QSS31 series
Feature of abnormal prints:
– Yellow lines appear throughout the print.
– Lines represent the vertical direction in relation to the direction of paper advance.
(direction of stripes)
– Equal line spacing (about 4 mm)
Possible Cause: Type A laser unit is defective.
The mechanism of the problem:
Due to a malfunction of the laser diode (LD) in the blue laser head, the light emitted by the LD becomes unstable, causing a low-frequency noise (12.5Hz) on the laser head, and the laser beam strength changes. by frequency.
If the light emitted by the LD is unstable, the light beam strength (amount of light) emitted after the LD (laser-> medium-> SHG-> reference) will also change.
To maintain a constant amount of light, the PD (photodiode) at the head of the B (G) laser monitors the amount of light and feeds it back in at regular intervals to regulate the LD electric current. Feedback frequency of 12.5 Hz.
The exposure speed on the QSS-30 is 50.8 mm / s, noise appears 12.5 times / s. 50.8 / 12.5 is almost 4 mm.
Thus, when using the Type A laser unit in the QSS-30, lines appear at 4mm intervals.
* Even in QSS-30, since the frequency is different for type B, lines appear at intervals of about 2 mm.
* In the QSS-31, the exposure speed is 89 mm / s.
89 / 12.5 is almost 7 mm.
So the lines appear at 7mm intervals.
Note:
If this abnormal print appears, perform AUTO ADJUSTMENT if the laser unit is Type A.
Auto tuning may temporarily reduce the symptom.

Feature of abnormal prints:
– Lines are displayed in full.
– Lines represent the vertical direction in relation to the direction of the paper advance.
(direction of stripes)
– Equal line spacing (about 1 mm)
– Lines have no color, only density change.
Possible Cause 1:
The impulse motor driver is defective.
Description of the problem:
it varies in strength, sometimes weak, sometimes more noticeable. The laboratory owner changed the exposure advance unit, but it didn’t help.
After changing the driver of the Exposure Advance Unit impulse motor, the stripes disappeared.
Possible Cause 2:
Clogged fans under a laser unit.
Check both cooling fans under the laser unit are not clogged with dust causing them to vibrate.
Resume: Laser Repair is not required.
Model: QSS30 series
Feature of abnormal prints:
– All prints came out with a green / blue tint.
It all started after moving equipment from one place to another.
Probable cause:
Invalid data or corrupted software.
Corrective actions:
1. Remove and re-register the paper magazine (if the problem is only in the paper magazine).
2. If there is no result after this, re-register the paper.
3. If there is no result after this, update the profile data to the latest version. If you don’t have one, ask us. All club members have special prices for all software and manuals.
4. If you have a yellowish or other shade corresponding to the second strip on the test, replace the colorimeter plate. In addition, incorrect colorimeter head height settings may be causing the problem. Pay attention to the quality of pressing the dough against the colorimeter head.
Means of protection:
1. Try downloading Backup. Print the test and see the result.
2. If there are no changes, perform a software update (HD). Print the test and see the result.
3. If there are no changes, update the Profile Data to the maximum. Contact us if you don’t have one.
4.If there are no changes, reinstall or update the software of the main QSS system. Contact us if you don’t have one.
Resume: Laser repair is not required.
defects on all pictures

The feature of abnormal prints:
– All prints were coming out with strange lines and without yellow.
Probable cause:
1. A defective J391266-00 PC-LASER CONNECTING P.C.B
