6105 – 0001 B Laser light source status error
6106 – 0001 G Laser light source status error

Probable cause:

Laser diode wear.
The code of the most serious and unpleasant error for the laboratory owner.
This error can occur if the current has reached the maximum limit.

IMPORTANT:

This error message can appear due to the following errors
No. 6074 – ####: B Laser control error.
No. 6075 – ####: G Laser control error.

When such errors appear, first take corrective actions for each error.
Sometimes this can be erased by restarting the lab and the lab will run without any errors for a certain amount of time, but the appearance of this error means that a certain laser module is operating at a current that is VERY close to the maximum allowable limit.

Using a laser at this level will very quickly shorten the life of the laser as it destroys all the internal elements of the laser module.
We recommend that you send us the defective laser module for upgrading to the SLD level or get a new SLD laser module.

Temporary solution:
QSS 30/31 with Type A laser – you can auto-tune.
QSS 32 and later with A1 or fF type – you can try to “reset” the laser.

Please pay attention:
Even if it helps for a while, in the end, you will still have to repair the laser module.

It is useless to try to fix it on your own.

Resume:  Laser repair is required

6107 Red Laser Temperature is out of range

Recommendation: First of all, check the temperature of the R-laser in the Adjust the laser unit (Service menu).

IMPORTANT

The R-laser temperature measurement is performed in the following order: sensor, laser I / O PCB, and printer control PCB. On the laser I / O PCB, the sensor resistance is converted to a supply voltage, and then it is converted to a digital value in the AC converter on the printer control board.

With this digital value, the temperature is displayed by the software. The laser control board is not associated with R-laser temperature reading.

6107-0001
QSS 30 series (for version E or earlier):
The R-laser temperature is monitored from 34.5 ° C to 35.5 ° C once (standby state), and if the temperature exceeds 38.0 ° C (high-temperature limit), error 6107-0001 is generated.
QSS 30 series (for version F or newer):
The laser temperature R is adjustable from 31.5 ° C to 32.5 ° C once (standby state), and if the temperature exceeds 35.0 ° C (upper-temperature limit), error 6107-0001 is generated.
QSS 31/32/33 / etc series:
The R laser temperature is adjustable from 27.7 ° C to 28.3 ° C in six seconds (standby state), and if the temperature exceeds 31.0 ° C (high-temperature limit), error 6107-0001 is generated.

The likely cause of overheating is a blockage or stoppage of the fan (poor contact, etc.).

6107-0002
QSS 30 series (for version E or earlier):
If the temperature drops below 32.0 ° C (lower temperature limit), error 6107-0002 is generated.
QSS 30 series (for version F or newer):
If the temperature falls below 29.0 ° C (lower temperature limit), error 6107-0002 is generated.

QSS 31/32/33 / etc series:
If the temperature falls below 25.0 ° C (lower temperature limit), error 6107-0002 is generated.
Find the blown fuses first.
Reboot the power supply.
Check the power to the laser I / O PCB.
Check the temperature sensor in the temperature control unit R.
(How to do it: check the resistance between the pins of the connector (see your lab’s service manual for connector number) connected to the laser I / O PCB.

The following reasons are also possible:
Multiple power supply failure
Laser power supply failure
Laser control PCB failure
Laser I / O PCB failure
Failure of the red laser head.

You can find the cause of this error, but in some cases, it is undesirable to try to fix it yourself.

6074 B laser control error
6075 G laser control error

6074 error means although three minutes have passed after the B laser is turned on, the tuning of the laser does not start.
If you have 6074-0008 that means your B laser head is faulty. You see this error when the laser driver sends out an incorrect signal.

Can be seen in minilabs with A / A1 laser units and fF laser engines (blue module).

The laser unit type B does not display this error message.

[Potentially damaged parts]

1. Laser driver board B (if you have code 6074)
2. G laser driver PCB (if you have code 6075)
3. Laser I / O PCB (Laser I / O PCB)
4. Laser control board
5. Printer control board.
6. Laser module

IMPORTANT

First of all, check the quality of the connections of all cables going to the specified board.

Then check the laser drivers. Swap them (if you have the same type A / A1).
Cannot replace laser drivers in fF type.

Laser Power Supply 1 & 2 (Each power supply is equipped with overvoltage and overheating protection functions. If these functions work, turn off the machine’s circuit breaker and wait for a while, then turn on again. If overheating protection works, check if all cooling fans are working).
It is also a good idea to perform an autotune with a Qss 30/31 type A or a laser reset button with a QSS 32/33/37 type A1 and Ff.

The final reason for this error is a laser module.
If you have checked all the above details and you have the same error, the only way out is to send us the laser module for repair.

It is useless to try to fix it on your own.

Resume:  Laser repair is required (if all your action did not help).

If you have two errors 6074 B laser control error & 6075 G laser control error at one time: check the condition of the power supply unit (PSU) responsible for the power supply of Laser Drivers PCB of Blue and Green channels. If you will define that PSU is defective – send us an inquiry We can repair it for you.

If you have 6073-0002 and 6074-0004 at the same time – check the quality of cable contacts P122-P822 at Laser driver PCB (green channel). Same with suffix 0003 (see blue channel).[/wcm_restrict]

If the image board error occurs on 6073-0001, check the AOM drivers first.
Run Laser Diagnostic Software and look for abnormalities in the result.
If you have an error “Image board operation error” and there is no synchronization error, we recommend checking the following information:

– AOM drivers
– DIMM strips (RAM) on the image processing board
– The image processing board itself
– Laser control board
– Ice digital PCB
– Laser power supply
– Contact quality of LVDS cable between PCI / ARCNET conversion board and image processing board. Also check all connections on the laser control board.
– Condition of cooling fans around the image board. Replace if clogged.
– PC box (RAM, CPU cooling fan, motherboard capacitors, LVDS card, etc.).
– HD
And if you find that the hard drive is defective, you need to repair the new hard drive by following these steps:
1. Load the recovery CD.
2. Download Windows Service Pack 4, after restarting your computer, go to Device Manager and click Uninstall for the two items (LVDS / ARCNET cards) marked with a yellow exclamation mark.
3. Download the latest (and best) version of the main system software (K001) to the 3001.
4. Restart the computer (the drivers for the LVDS / ARCNET cards should now automatically load when the computer is restarted). The machine has to perform a software update for all the different circuit boards.
When done, exit the QSS program (close, press “F”, exit the application).
5. Download the profile data.
6.Download all additional software (digital ICE, multi-frame, etc.)
7. Restart your computer.

Resume:   Laser repair is not required. The error code has no attitude to the laser engine section.

6901-0010 ARCNET communication error.  Scanner AFC
6901-0008 ARCNET communication error.  Processor
6901-0080 ARCNET communication error.  Image processing PCB
6901-2000 ARCNET communication error   D-ICE control PCB

There are many reasons for the 6901 Arcnet communication error.
First of all, check the ARCNET status with ARCNET testing software.
You can download it here

Read the recommended steps to resolve the issue below:

6901-0008 ARCNET communication error indicates that ARCNET (fiber optic) is not communicating with the processor control board (processor control PCB.

Probably the problem is with a processor control PCB.
Check the presence of a 5V power supply on the Processor Control PCB.
If everything is fine with the voltage try to clean ARCNET connectors on the Processor Control PCB and trim ends of ARCNET cables ( at 90 degrees ).

Communication error 6901-0010 ARCNET indicates no ARCNET (fiber) communication with the AFC scanner.
Communication error 6901-0080 ARCNET indicates there is no ARCNET (fiber optic) communication with the PCB processing image

Possible reasons:

1. Broken or defective fiber optic cable.

Usually, the cable breaks when wet cleaning the floor in the laboratory or after moving the laboratory. Check the condition of the cable. Replace the cable if you find it is defective.
Please note:
Only one broken cable can disrupt the entire network.

2. Poor cable contact in the connector / slot located on the processor control board.
Remove the monitor and PC cover to find the gray cables. There are gray cables leading to the processor control board.
2.1. Try reconnecting ARCNET cables.
You must disconnect and reconnect them several times before performing any other actions.

Be careful when removing cables from the outlet. The socket has a special latch that should fix it securely. Gently push aside and try to pull the cable out of the socket. Check the quality of the outlet.
There must be no dust or debris inside.
Clean the outlet with compressed air or a damp toothpick.

Then return the cables to their original position.
Turn on the lab and see the result.
If all else fails, move on.

2.2. Try trimming the ends of ARCNET cables.
A defective end of the power cord may be the cause of the error.
Using a sharp knife, cut off the ends of each cable (exactly at a 90 ° angle). Make sure they are okay and reconnect the outlet.
Turn on the lab and see the result.
If all else fails, move on.
2.3 Check power to processor control board J390592 – Check that a red light is coming out of the fiber optic emitter on the processor control board.
2.4. Replace the J390592 processor control board with the same board and observe the result. Sometimes the cause of the error is a faulty J390592 processor control board.

3. Bad contact or defective memory strips on the image processing board.
Reconnect all memory strips on the imaging board. Remember to clean the memory strip with isopropyl alcohol / rubbing alcohol before putting it back.
Turn on the lab and see the result.
If all else fails, move on.

3.1. Check the status of the ARCNET and LVDS drivers in Device Manager.
If you encounter any problems, uninstall the Arcnet and LVDS drivers, restart your computer and reinstall the main system software from scratch.
you do not have system software K001 – send us a request.
Restart your computer. The drivers will be updated after restarting the system software.

If not, just update the software and the driver will be updated.

4. Defective Arcnet PCB (if you have one) . Check the condition by replacing it with the same board from another laboratory.

5. Defective imaging circuit board or power supply unit (PSU) . Replace or repair.
5.1. Poor quality cable connections. Connect all connectors to the imaging board.
5.2. Poor quality cable connections. Reconnect all connectors on the printer control PCB / laser control PCB, including the clock PCB.

6. Virus infection.
Check in Windows Device Manager if the ARCNET and LVDS card drivers are loaded correctly.
Remedy: Perform PC recovery procedures and restart the software again.
Contact us if you do not have a system program for your minilab.

7. If you have error code 6901-0010, the first thing you need to do is check the scanner control board power supply. After removing the covers from the scanner, check that all voltage LEDs on the scanner control board are on.

Resume:   Laser repair is NOT required.

6073-0001, 6105-0001, 6106-0001 errors pop up one by one

Noritsu QSS 3001.
The following errors occur simultaneously: 6073-0001, 6105-0001, 6106-0001. Additionally, the displayed temperature on the R laser thermosensor is 0.0. After the replacement of the laser, the AOMs, and all the boards all errors still appear.

Remedy:
If these errors occur, you need to check the voltage between pins 1 and 6 of connector J/P116 on the Laser I/O PCB. If there is no +24V voltage, then you need to replace the PS4 power supply unit (located in the black box to the right of the magazine).
