Before that, all customers had to send the entire laser unit to a service center on the other side of the world and shut down the lab indefinitely.
Now everything can be done right where the lab is located.

It should also be emphasized that our company has developed its own way of repairing lasers using the most advanced SLD laser modules. This guarantees a long life and high stability of the laser module.

WHAT WE DO:
Here is a list of all the procedures we normally perform to upgrade a customer’s original DPSS laser module to an SLD laser module:
1. Inspection for damage to all external components (housing, circuit board, cable, connector, etc.) and thoroughly clean the laser module before opening it.
2. Replacement of all internal optical elements with new ones of the best performance.
3. Removal of all obsolete original components from the laser module to replace them with new and modern parts made especially for us.
4. Installation of two new additional control circuit boards inside the laser module.
5. On certain types of modules, we perform all necessary operations on the laser module’s EEPROM (data reprogramming) to clear all errors and restore the original data for best performance.
6. We run the laser module to adjust it so that it meets or even exceeds the original specifications:
6.1 Adjusting the output optical power.
6.2 Aligning the beam position (we use a special “optical table” with “smart” targets).
6.3 Beam quality adjustment.
6.4 Adjusting the beam focus.
7. Run the Laser Non-Stop Test for 24 hours to observe the stability of all output values.
If the test shows no significant discrepancies in the specified parameters, prepare the laser for shipment:
7.1 Record all the data of each laser module in our Registry.
7.2 Print out the warranty card.
7.3 Pack the module.
8. Call delivery guy.
9. Send the tracking number to the customer.

Our SLD module consists of a few elements:
– Laser diode Mount
– Internal Optical unit
– Integrated Laser driver
The small numbers of components reduce the risk to have components defective.
Such way we receive a long lifetime of our SLD module.
