If you have decided to send to us your defective laser unit for repair the proper package is the most important thing to care about. If you want to have your laser engine in good condition during the transportation - note all recommendations that we give here for you.
The main idea is:
For safe and strong package use as many shockproof and crushproof materials as possible.
It is not reasonable to save on packing as repair of damages caused by wrong package costs much higher or even may be impossible.

There is a few ways to protect your laser unit:

1. Wooden Box.
The most reliable way of package.
We advise you to pack your laser engine into so-called wooden box/crate. You can make it yourself or order it at the package company with your custom size. Due to our experience we consider it to be the best way of the safe transportation with almost 100% guarantee.
The crate can be made of 1/4" plywood and it prevents transportation and weather damages. This is not so heavy as you can imagine so the freight charge will not be so high.

2. Carton Box.
The most popular way of package among our customers is to use so called suspension boxes with double wall carton. It protects your valuable fragile laser unit from sudden shock and vibration during shipping. It contains two suspension inserts and outer box. Please do not forget to fill in-between space with bubble wrap, "pea-nut" air wrap or any other soft material.
It will absorb almost all shocks and will help to receive the laser in the best condition.
